Alliance Resource Group has been retained by one of Southern California's leading commercial contractors. Quality custom designs and customer service is at the forefront of their daily operations. They work with a variety of clientele from local OC businesses to well-known international brands. Since they opened their doors in 2011, they have experienced continued growth and are known for their family culture.

They are looking to hire their first corporate controller due to their sustained growth. The controller will be pivotal to growing the organization and will work intimately with both the CEO/Founder and VP of Operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Responsible for timely, accurate, and efficient accounting close on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
• Develop, maintain, and enhance accounting and finance policies, processes, and procedures to company with US GAAP
• Responsible for treasury function and payroll for company personnel
• Develop and work alongside of project managers to maintain budgets, forecasts, and flux analysis to support decision making of senior management
• Assist in the preparation of project proformas, budget approvals and life cycle cash flow forecasting.
• Establish, improve, and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Work closely with key business leaders to manage the accounting processes and apprise senior management of opportunities and risks
• Participate in key strategic initiatives to help identify revenue enhancement and cost reduction opportunities
• Recommends and monitors benchmarks used to measure the company's performance
• Provides insights into variances between budgets/forecasts and financial reports
• Work alongside upper management to implement new ERP systems to improve accounting and payroll reporting
  Requirements:
  
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Min. of 8 to 10 yrs. of progressive experience
  • Project Accounting experience required
  • Construction or engineer industry experience required
  • Strong understanding of GAAP
  • HR knowledge/experience a plus
