Job Description Job Description Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1 year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A certified Sign Language Interpreter is needed to provide effective communication support for students and staff within a school setting. This role requires travel between multiple school locations to facilitate accessibility for hearing-impaired individuals and ensure an inclusive educational environment. Key Responsibilities: Interpret spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa during classroom instruction, meetings, and events. Collaborate with educators, students, and families to support communication needs. Maintain confidentiality and professional ethics in all interactions. Travel between assigned schools as necessary to provide on-site interpretation services. Assist in developing communication strategies to enhance learning outcomes. Qualifications: Proficiency in American Sign Language and interpreting techniques. Certification or licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter preferred. Experience working in educational environments is a plus. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to travel reliably between school sites.
