We are seeking an experienced and talented Laboratory Soils/Materials Technician to join our Southern California team for our San Diego office. This is a non-exempt position. Responsibilities: Perform laboratory tests on construction materials (moisture content, compaction, sieves, hydrometers, atterberg limits, corrosion suites, and expansion index, concrete flexural strength, etc.) Apply basic computer data templates, interpret test data, and prepare reports of test data Calibrate laboratory equipment and maintain calibration schedule and records Qualifications: High School diploma or GED 2 plus years in Civil Engineering or lab testing, preferred Caltrans Certification Strong math skills Willingness to work in a soils environment which may require getting dirty Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and operate hand-controlled testing equipment Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record Benefits: Flexible Work Environment Paid Parental Leave Medical Dental Vision Life and AD&D Insurance Short-Term and Long-Term Disability 401(k) with Company Match Paid Time Off Holidays
