CNC lathe expertise to a thriving aerospace manufacturer with over
62 years of industry leadership? Pave Talent is hiring on behalf of
our client, an established aerospace fittings manufacturer
specializing in high-precision hydraulic and pneumatic components
for critical aircraft systems. This is a second-shift opportunity
for skilled CNC lathe specialists who excel at both setup and
production operations. What You'll Do: Set up and operate HAAS CNC
lathes with live tooling capabilities, including multi-axis turning
centers and Swiss-style machines. You'll work independently to
machine precision aerospace fittings in challenging materials like
titanium, heat-treated steel, stainless steel, and aluminum alloys,
running job quantities from 20 pieces to several thousand. Your
day-to-day includes reading and interpreting aerospace blueprints
(AS, MS, NAS, NSA standards), selecting appropriate tooling,
programming G and M codes, optimizing speeds and feeds, and
performing precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, and
optical comparators. You'll run multiple machines simultaneously,
troubleshoot machining challenges, and maintain strict quality
documentation following ISO 9001 and ITAR protocols. Your
Background: You have hands-on experience with HAAS or similar CNC
lathes (Okuma, Mazak, DMG Mori) and are comfortable with Fanuc or
other industrial controls. You've machined aerospace materials
under tight tolerances and understand the precision required for
critical aircraft components. Most importantly, you don't just set
up machines and walk away. You stay with the job through
completion, running production while monitoring quality, making
adjustments, and ensuring every part meets specifications. You're
proficient with basic G-Code editing, coordinate systems, and tool
offset adjustments. Experience with C-axis or Y-axis live tooling
operations is highly valued. Required Qualifications: 3 years
hands-on CNC lathe setup and operation experience Proficiency with
multi-axis CNC lathes (HAAS, Okuma, Mazak, or similar brands)
Blueprint reading for aerospace standards and GD&T
interpretation Precision measurement using hand tools (micrometers,
calipers, comparators) Experience machining titanium, stainless
steel, and heat-treated materials Ability to run multiple machines
simultaneously and complete full production runs Familiarity with
ISO 9001 quality systems and documentation practices Authorization
to work in the US without sponsorship Preferred Qualifications:
Live tooling experience (C-axis or Y-axis operations) Swiss-style
lathe experience (Tsugami or similar) AS9100 or ITAR compliance
background First Article Inspection experience Certified Machinist
