Allied Universal is hiring a Chief Communications and Marketing
Officer to oversee the company's global strategy and champion the
vision of being the most trusted corporate services partner in a
world of evolving risk. As a strategic partner to the executive
team, the leader will design and implement a strategy that
cultivates organizational change and galvanizes stakeholders to
achieve business goals and results in a fast paced company culture.
The Chief Communications Officer will be based out of the
Headquarters in Santa Ana, CA and report directly to the Global
CEO.

serve. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Those duties
necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position. Other
duties may be assigned:
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate Allied
Universal's global communications and marketing strategy
- Work with the Executive Vice President - Sales to assure
consistency of a corporate brand and message in the marketplace, as
well as consistent policies and procedures related to marketing and
public relations practices.
- Evaluate agency partnerships to maximize cost and
effectiveness
- Lead, train and mentor a global team of industry leading
experts
- Drive investor relations communications and messaging by
partnering with internal stakeholders and external media
outlets
- Evaluate and strengthen brand positioning relating to sales
growth, competitive positioning and an employer of choice
- Develop and execute a public relations strategy that cultivates
strong relationships with media representatives and agencies to
create opportunities for growing the thought leadership position of
the company and its solutions in the security industry
- Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders while
ensuring high communication, project management and results
- Create unique and effective strategic marketing and branding
initiatives to assist divisional and corporate revenue and gross
profit goals
- Manage the strategic direction for crisis communication, media
relations, executive messaging, social media, brand positioning,
internal and external communication strategies
- Identify and execute short- and long-term communications
strategies and tactics to support the company in achieving profits,
growth or other goals of the organization
- Develop metrics and execute consistent review and analysis of
data to measure the effectiveness, impact and engagement of
communications and marketing programs and special projects
- Partner with stakeholders on the execution of regional
organizational change management plans, devising strategies to
counter resistance and align stakeholders to the overall strategic
direction of the organization
QUALIFICATIONS:A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or
related field is required. MBA is preferred. In addition, we are
looking for:
- Minimum of 15 years' experience leading teams and developing a
strategic vision in a Marketing or Communications Department
- Experience as a Senior Executive at a global or international
company is preferred
- Investor Relations and B2B Brand Marketing experience at a
Public Company is preferred
- Proven ability to drive thought leadership throughout a large
organization and to position a corporation as a thought leader to
external audiences
- Engaged leader with prior success in building teams and
developing, motivating and retaining talent
- Excellent communicator with a proven ability to clearly convey
complex ideas and strategy in terms that can be understood by a
variety of audiences and education levels
- Ability to be trusted with highly confidential information and
to provide communications council in times of crisis
- Strong interpersonal skills and poise; ability to work well
with executives, team members, customers, sales and marketing
- Proven track record of counseling and training senior
executives on corporate communication policies and crisis response
management
- High self-motivation with a sense of urgency
- Strong project management skills and the ability to meet
multiple deadlines
- Clear understanding of marketing and branding concepts
- Demonstrated ability to work in and facilitate a team oriented
management environment, and to help identify and solve
problems
- Ability to interact effectively with internal and external
customers and to ensure compliance with fair employment
practices
- Considerable knowledge of and experience with the use of
quality and/or continuous improvement tools, techniques, practices,
etc.,
