Wound Care RN

$20,000 Hiring Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment - this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment.

Location: Orange, CA

Schedule: Part Time - 40 Biweekly Hours

Shift: 10-hour, Days

The Wound Care Nurse is a Registered Nurse who provides patient care services for patients with fecal and urinary diversions, acute and chronic wounds, drains, pressure injuries, peristomal skin issues, and skin issues as defined by the Wound Ostomy and Continence (WOCN) Organization. Functions independently in both acute and patient care settings and outpatient services. The Wound Care RN also serves in a consultative and educational role for medical and nursing staff, and education role for the professional and lay community.

Required qualifications:

+ Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.

+ 2 years Acute care clinical experience.

+ Current California Registered Nurse license.

+ Certificate as Certified Wound, Ostomy Nurse (WOCN) by Wound, Ostomy, Continence Certification Board (WOCN-CB).

+ American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred qualifications:

+ Master's Degree Nursing.

+ 1 year Experience as a WOCN.

+ Continence Certification by the WOCN-CB.
