We are looking for a Scheduler for theRadiology Administrationat
St. Joseph Hospital Orange.Location: Orange, CAWork Schedule:Part
time - 40 Biweekly HoursShift:8-hour, Days (Variable)Job
Summary:Under the general supervision of the Department
Supervisor/Manager or Director, the scheduler completes all tasks
necessary to provide quality customer service.Responsible for the
collection of patient demographics, billing and clinical
information needed for entry into computer system.Essential
Functions:Accurately records patient information on the
schedule.Enters patient and procedure information into the computer
system on a daily basis.Schedules procedures in the correct
angiographic suite.Effectively communicates with physicians,
offices and other departments.Assists physicians and their offices
with scheduling surgical standby and anesthesia.Schedules
procedures allowing for required time for completion of
case.Advises offices of any required pre-procedure studies and
patient instructions.Demonstrates an understanding of restricted
scheduling (i.e.: physician suspension or proctoring).Initiates
service call to appropriate repair personnel for equipment
malfunction.Ability to input data into computer.Assist clinical
staff with communication with physicians, offices and other
departments.Assists with communication related to delays to family,
physicians and other departments.Communicates problems with
scheduling and transporting to coordinator.Maintains schedule
book.Demonstrates excellent communication and customer service
skills.Skills:Ability to work effectively with other by
demonstrating a team approach.Ability to manage multiple tasks at
one time.Computer skills.Medical terminology preferred.Bilingual
abilities preferred.Minimum Position Requirements:Experience:2
years Clerical, administrative, or customer service
experience.Preferred Position Qualifications:Experience:Healthcare
or Hospital experience.Radiology or surgery scheduling
