Job Summary
This position is responsible for resolving credit balances through research and timely processing of refund requests or other needed adjustments for credit account resolution.

Pay Range
Minimum $19.16 Midpoint $25.39 Maximum $31.61

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

Experience

---Required: Minimum one (1) year of experience with billing and follow-up of claims. Working knowledge with Medicare, Medi-Cal, Private, PPO and HMO.

Education

---Required: High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent.

---Preferred: Some college or specific course related study.

Training

---Required: Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 Coding, and revenue codes. Ability to audit accounts to determine proper refunds, expected payment and proper refund due to overpayments. Basic understanding of accounting principles.

Specialized Skills

---Required: Detail oriented, with strong computer skills. Ability to prioritize and complete duties in a timely manner to accomplish both individual and team goals. Auditing skills required for research and resolution of credit balances. Excellent verbal and written communication required.

Licensure

---Required: None required.
