We aspire everyday to do quality work for our clients and help our talent work at some of the most amazing companies.*Job Title: RN- Labor and Delivery**Location: Orange, CA 92868**Pay - $80/Hr **Weekly- $3080**Duration: 13 Weeks**Shift Time: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)**Duties*:* Monitoring patient's condition and assessing their needs to provide the best possible care and advice.* Observing and interpreting patient's symptoms and communicating them to physicians.* Collaborating with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients.* L/D Nurses provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles.* In addition to general nursing care, responsibilities of L/D Nurses include (but are not limited to):* Sits with and monitors patient throughout (before/during/after) the labor Monitors contractions and helps patient with breathing techniques* Performs basic IV and central line skills* Performs phlebotomy skills* Knowledge of hemodynamic Administers pain medication as ordered; administers other meds to address specific medical conditions, such as hypertension and diabetes* Takes and records patients vital signs, ascertains if problematic* Reads fatal monitor & ascertains if there is a problem with babys heart rate Identifies & manages life-sustaining physiological functions in unstable patients* Checks patients cervix periodically to monitor progression/lack of dilation Ensures patients bed is kept dry & clean; cleans up bodily fluids expelled before & after the birthing Process Contacts anaesthesia when/if patient is ready for epidural; contacts delivering physician at appropriate time, ascertains proper time Cares for patients on Pitocin, MgSO4 & continuous lumbar epidural Ensures patient is in proper position for delivery & all monitoring equipment is functioning properly Aids doctor with drapes, gloves, gowns, etc.; hands doctor delivery instruments as needed during birthing Process* Encourages patient to push at proper time(s) Records time of birth Immediate care of newborn (clean, weigh, Instructed new mothers on how to care for their new babies and answered any questions.* Provided daily patient assessments, including fundamental checks. Maintained an inventory of supplies, including IVs, dressings, and catheters. Provided immediate care to new mothers following the birthing process. Dispensed medications, including prenatal vitamins and antibiotics. Coordinated with doctors to develop patient care plans.*Certs*: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate required, AWHONN Advanced preferred.Must be able to circulate.Job Type: ContractPay: Up to $3,080.00 per weekSchedule:* 8 hour shiftAbility to Relocate:* Orange, CA 92868: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In personby Jobble
