Job Description Position description The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology invites applications for a faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor or above, depending upon the candidate’s qualification and will be in the Health Sciences Clinical Series (non-tenure track) for the OB/GYN Hospitalist Program. The responsibilities for this position include teaching medical students and resident physicians, providing care to unassigned patients, assisting community physicians, and responding to obstetric and gynecologic emergencies. Candidates must possess an MD or DO, be American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology eligible or certified, and a California medical license (at the time of hire). Candidates must practice up-to-date evidence-based medicine, have strong interpersonal skills, and express an interest in patient safety and system-wide improvements. Knowledge of standard obstetrics and gynecology hospital policies and protocols is preferred and a demonstrated career focus in obstetrics is recommended. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Positions are dependent upon funding.
