Recognition of communicable disease symptoms and appropriate
transmission-based precautions Description: The position requires
working Monday through Friday during the day shift. Infection
prevention duties include surveillance and disease reporting.
Identification of trends and isolation practices is crucial in this
role. Candidates should have knowledge of CDC guidelines and CMS
standards. You will be responsible for educating staff and
answering questions regarding infection prevention activities.
Experience in tracking various categories of infections for
surveillance is necessary. Candidates should be comfortable with
clinical space rounding. Proficiency in charting systems is
required, with EPIC experience preferred. Knowledge of antibiotic
stewardship, healthcare-acquired infections, and personal
protective equipment is essential. Candidates must hold a current
BLS certification and have NHSN access. An ability to engage in
infection prevention strategies is imperative. All candidates must
