Position Summary:

The Revenue Integrity Service Line Specialist serves as the primary liaison and subject matter expert for charge capture and revenue cycle operations for assigned service line(s). Incumbent will be responsible for data collection, report production and comprehensive financial analysis of hospital information in support of Revenue Integrity's internal operations as well as revenue cycle functions at the organizational level. The employee will lead; support and coordinate charge capture activities and operations, assist in charge automation initiatives, lead in revenue optimization initiatives and collaborate with Revenue Cycle business partners on system enhancements and upgrades. The Revenue Integrity Service Line Specialist will also support charge reconciliation activities and associated reporting. The employee will conduct analysis and reporting to include trending, benchmarking, functional flows and performance measures that identify deficiencies and improvements in the revenue cycle operations. The Revenue Integrity Service Line Specialist will support and coordinate all Ambulatory Hospital based Clinic Departments by providing charge audit activities, education, training, charge master management support and ongoing monitoring of charge capture related metrics.

Salary Range:

Rate Minimum $57,400.00 Maximum $97,300.00

Required Qualifications:

* Experience in any of the following areas: Revenue Integrity Operations, Clinical Charge Capture, Charge Master or Revenue Cycle Operations.

* Thorough knowledge of the practices and procedures of the healthcare Revenue Cycle, specifically Revenue Integrity Operations; which include charge capture, billing, coding, charge master, reimbursement , regulatory and compliance guidelines.

* Knowledgeable in use and application of Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) and Revenue Codes.

* Experience working with hospital billing systems and knowledge of third party billing requirements as well as knowledge of institutional and professional charging practice and charge automation functions which is typically obtained through 5 years experience. In addition must have knowledge of automated patient account function and be familiar with Electronic Health Records interfaces, extrapolation of data and charge processing.

* Excellent computer skills and experience with a thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

* Experience in managing and/or developing charge capture processes, policies and procedures.

* Knowledge of HIPAA

* Knowledge of provider and governmental processes

* Skill in converting master files into reports for departmental use and in ad hoc technical report writing, complex analysis and data conversion into different formats.

* Skill to effectively work with all levels of health system personnel including directors and physicians

* Skill to read and correctly interpret governmental and commercial payer regulations and develop and implement recommendations consistent with interpretations

* Detail oriented, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, serving as a technical resource.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Bachelor\'s Degree in Business, Finance or related field

* CPCH or CPC coding certification

* Knowledge of Structure Query Language (SQL)

* Knowledge of Tableau

* Experience working with EPIC Healthcare Software
