DESCRIPTION

The Selling Specialist is responsible for driving sales and establishing, and maintaining customer relationships by delivering superior customer service.The Sales Specialist assists in the merchandising and maintenance of the floor and assists in training sales associates.The Selling Specialist is responsible for engaging and understanding what the customer is looking for so that you will be able to use your product knowledge to make recommendations to the customer.We are looking for a Selling Specialist who can build and maintain a solid customer base, following through clientele and wardrobe, as well as assist in training and growing sales associates. This position reports directly to the ASM Merchandising or Assistant Store Manager.

  • Assist customers in a timely, efficient and courteousmanner delivering superior customer service.
  • Utilize suggestive selling techniques to recommendmerchandise selections or help to locate or obtain merchandise based oncustomer needs and desires
  • Assist in product and sales training with salesassociates
  • Assist with merchandise selection, and merchandisereturns
  • Handle each register transaction professionally and ina friendly manner
  • Knowledge of the sales floor and product.Articulateadvantages, benefits and/or fits of various vendors
  • Utilize available tools to foster individual and storesales:clientele books, clientele call campaigns, Sales AssociateEmail
  • Move and flow merchandise autonomously.Maintainthe floor according to company directed standards.Maintaindepartment area by size/vendor/silhouette/color/price and discounts
  • Professionally handle phone calls and any customerservice issues
  • Follow policies and procedures for markdowns,re-ticketing, sensoring, and inventory control
  • Timely set-upand signage of promotional events
  • Aware of inventory issues
  • Identify and reduce shrink in department
  • Assist store team with preparation and execution ofannual inventory

    Qualifications:

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • 2+ years retail experience and 1+ years customerstyling experience
    • Proven excellent customer service skills with astatistical track record in all areas of sales
    • Excellent communication skills and be multitaskoriented
    • Strong organizational and problem solving skills
    • Possess basic computer skills, ability to use cashregister
    • Ability to operate photographic and video equipment
    • Capable of performing some lifting of up to 25 pounds
    • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule based onbusiness needs including evenings, weekends and holidays
