Jackson Lewis is seeking an Advice and Counsel Attorney -for the
-Orange County -office (location is flexible, attorney may sit in
any of our California office locations).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Advise and counsel clients on California employment laws and issues
including wage and hour, terminations and employee discipline,
reductions in force, accommodation issues, leave laws and similar
issues. This position will have a particular focus on wage and hour
Skills and Educational Requirements:
JD from Accredited Law School
4+ years of employment law experience, including significant
California-focused advice and counseling experience and first chair
Significant experience responding to wage and hour issues is a
must, attorneys with significant wage and hour litigation
experience who are looking to transition into an advice and
counseling role will be strongly considered
Additional experience in responding to disability leave and
accommodation questions; handling handbook and policy reviews;
reviewing incentive and compensation plans; and conducting
Portable business a plus, but not required
California Bar Admission
Understanding of current agency (state and federal) enforcement
Excellent attention to detail
Strong organizational and project management skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Bilingual a plus
