Job Description:

Our client is a worldwide leader in the development of Surface Mount Technology Equipment for the electronics industry and is looking for a talented Field Service Engineer to represent them in the Orange County, CA area.
Note: Candidates must be a permanent resident or US citizen to be considered.
Position Summary
Installation, repair, and process engineering support of our client's Surface Mount Technology Equipment (SMT - Automation Equipment).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Field Installation of Surface Mount Technology Equipment - Automation equipment throughout the Orange County, CA area.
• Field Troubleshoot, Repair, Training, and Process support of SMT equipment
• Field Custom Modification & Retrofit of SMT equipment.
• Engineering Level Technical Phone Support.
• Engineering Level data collection including written and oral reports.
• Comprehension of Electrical schematic, blueprint, and mechatronics drawings.
• Capability of working in both team and independent work environments with limited supervision.
• Strong verbal communication skills with both customer and other Technical Depts.
• Knowledge of Windows 7/10 OS and be comfortable installing software.
• Flexibility to travel and perform job assignments at short notice.
• Strong Aptitude with current computing applications and networking processes.
  Education, Experience & Qualifications
  
  • 3-5 years of experience of installation, service and repair of Surface Mount Technology equipment
    
    • Bachelor's of Science in Engineering is preferred. Associate degree in Engineering acceptable with enough industry experience.
      
      • Strong aptitude with electrical and mechanical diagnostics/repairs.
        
        • Strong troubleshooting schools.
          
          • Aptitude with modern PC applications.
            
            • Strong customer service and communication skills.
