Supply Chain Analyst / Senior Supply Chain Analyst Location: On-site | Westlake Village, CA A rapidly growing technology hardware company is seeking a high-impact Supply Chain Analyst who can operate at a senior individual contributor level and support a broad range of supply chain activities as the organization scales. This role supports manufacturing, logistics, inventory, and sourcing decisions by building analytical structure, visibility, and discipline across the supply chain. The position is both analytical and hands-on, spanning data analysis, operational execution, and continuous improvement. You will work closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Contract Manufacturers, and Logistics partners to help the organization scale efficiently and cost-effectively. Responsibilities Manufacturing and Contract Manufacturing Operations * Analyze bill of materials structures, material costs, and build configurations across multiple product lines * Track and explain purchase price variance, spot buys, and key cost drivers * Support build planning, minimum order quantities, and capacity alignment with contract manufacturers * Maintain visibility into build status, material readiness, and operational risks * Develop reporting for contract manufacturer performance, yield metrics, and cost trends Logistics and Shipping Analytics * Analyze shipment data across carriers, regions, and shipping lanes * Track shipping costs, transit times, and carrier performance * Evaluate cold-chain performance including time, temperature, and shipping exceptions * Identify opportunities to reduce cost and variability while maintaining service levels Inventory and Demand Planning * Monitor inventory levels across raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods * Support demand forecasting inputs and supply planning assumptions * Identify risks related to excess, obsolete, or constrained inventory * Assist with establishing inventory policies and planning cadence Cost, Sourcing, and Supplier Performance * Build and maintain supplier cost models and spend visibility * Track supplier performance across cost, delivery, and responsiveness * Support sourcing decisions through data-driven analysis * Assist with supplier negotiations through fact-based insights What Success Looks Like in the First 6-12 Months * Leadership has clear visibility into cost, inventory, and operational drivers * Manufacturing and logistics decisions are supported by structured analysis instead of reactive troubleshooting * Purchase price variance, shipping costs, and inventory exposure are actively managed * Supply chain reporting becomes simpler, clearer, and more actionable * You begin operating as an owner of supply chain insights and position yourself for future leadership opportunities Compensation and Benefits * Base salary range: $85,000 - $135,000 annually * Actual compensation will depend on experience, skill level, and role level (Analyst vs Senior Analyst) * Comprehensive benefits package including health coverage, retirement plan options, and additional benefits offered by a growth-stage organization Requirements * 5-8 years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing operations, logistics analytics, or similar roles * Experience working with technology hardware products including BOMs, materials planning, and build processes * Hands-on experience working with contract manufacturers and external suppliers * Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills including modeling, pivots, and structured analysis * Experience supporting build planning, inventory management, and cost analysis * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment * Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders * Experience working with ERP or planning systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or similar * Experience with hardware, electronics, or electromechanical products Additional Details * Up to 15 percent international travel may be required Nice to Have * SQL, BI tools, or data automation experience * Experience helping scale supply chain processes in a growing organization
