The Director of Imaging Services is responsible for the overall
direction of the diagnostic imaging or radiology department.
Develops policies and procedures, directs technologist and
non-technical personnel, and ensures adequate staffing for the
department. Ensures quality services are provided in compliance
with all legal and regulatory requirements. Operates department
within budget and in accordance with performance standards.
* Required: Minimum five ( 5) years of experience in leadership
within an Imaging Department .
* Preferred: Experience in a pediatric setting .
* Required: Associate degree .
* Preferred: Bachelor or master’s degree in healthcare related
field. Graduate from an AMA approved education program in
* Required: Broad knowledge of quality, patient safety,
performance improvement, regulatory requirements, medical staff
structure, peer review and legal aspects of care. Knowledge of
quality, performance improvement and patient safety programs that
are data-driven. Ability to read, write, and speak with
professional quality; use computer and software programs necessary
to the position, e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Access. Ability to
relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally
with others; provide leadership; be assertive and consistent in
enforcing policies; respond courteously when under pressure; lead,
supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction. Able to think
critically; work independently; perform basic math and statistical
functions; manage multiple assignments; compose written material;
work well under pressure; problem solve; organize and prioritize
workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to
