Department at St. Joseph Heritage Healthcare.

Shift : Day
Under the direction of and in collaboration with the Supervisor/
Manager and/or Director, this position supports the clinical
department with the first line direction of the clinical staff and
workflow. Responsibilities also include assisting both internal and
external customers in providing patient care within the scope of
practice outlined by the California Board of Vocational Nursing. In
addition, this position will assist in orientation/training of new
employees as well as participate in the hiring/evaluation
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide
care appropriate to the age of the patients served including
knowledge of the principles of growth and development and
psychosocial characteristics and interventions for infant (0-1
year), child (1-5 years), school age (6-12 years), adolescent
(13-17 years), young adult (18-45 years), middle adult (46-60
years), older adult (60+ years).

H.S. Diploma or GED
Graduate of an accredited nursing program at a vocational school
Experience: 2 years experience as an LVN in an ambulatory or
acute care setting.
Licenses / Certifications:
• Current California LVN license.
• Current CPR (BLS) certificate.
• IV Certification.
Preferred Position Requirements:
Experience: 4 years experience as an LVN in an ambulatory
or acute care setting.
1 year experience in a leadership role.
IDX and Touchworks experience.
