The Director of Sales and Marketing position is a full-time
administrative leadership position responsible for strategic
planning and the execution of sales and marketing initiatives
targeted toward existing and new customers to meet corporate
objectives and revenue projections.
Develops and implements comprehensive marketing and sales
strategy to meet revenue and growth targets.
Develops and manages sales/marketing budget. Analyzes and
controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary
Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals
accordingly. Prepares monthly marketing and sales activity reports
and presents to executive management. Reviews and analyzes sales
performances against projections and provides analysis to determine
Plans and manages all advertising and promotion activities in
print and online. Works closely with Social Media coordinator in
the creation of targeted social media posts to align with overall
marketing strategy and specific sales objectives.
Ensures effective control of marketing objectives, monitors
engagement and takes corrective action to maximize ROI.
Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing
strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
Monitors competitor products, sales and marketing activities.
Establishes and maintains relationships with industry
influencers and key strategic partners.
Establishes and maintains consistent branding throughout all
product lines, promotional materials, and communications.
Oversees sales representatives and participates in meeting sales
objectives by conducting site tours, meeting with prospective
clients, and negotiating and closing deals.
Acts as liaison between sales department and other sales related
units. As department manager, participates in weekly management
meetings and communicates with other department leaders and
stakeholders to meet sales objectives.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This
role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers,
phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Ability to
manage multiple projects and maintain professional conduct are
essential to success in our busy hospitality-based work
environment. Physical Demands
While this administrative leadership position is not especially
physically demanding, the ability to work at a desk and at a
computer for long periods of time is a requirement. As this
position entails being an active part of the sales process, the
ability to walk the property during site tours and between event
venues is a must.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are
Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some
out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing or business administration
and a minimum of f ive (5) years of related experience with
progressive management experience are a requirement. Masters Degree
