Summary: Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources, is responsible for bringing our aspiration of becoming a Deliberately Development Organization to life throughout the organization. Build individual and organizational capability to enable a strong talent bench and high performing culture. This role will create a competency framework and ensure articulation with our job architecture as well as create a learning strategy that will meet business needs, drive associate engagement and improve internal mobility. They will also be responsible for new associate orientation with the vision to create an outstanding first impression that will engage the hearts and minds of our new hires. Essential Functions andResponsiblities: Responsible for overall career development and for bringing our vision of being a Deliberately Developmental Organization to life throughout the organization. Design and implement learning strategies that will address business needs, enabling us to improve internal “readiness” and career mobility to all associates at every stage of their careers. Lead and sustain our robust Supervisor Leadership Development Program. Design and deliver clear and engaging trainings using adult learning principles. Drive the Performance Review process to include manager/associate training and process guides. Create awareness to our associate population of the opportunities for development and gain their active participation. Collaborate with HR Business Partners to address on demand training and intervention needs. Create competency framework to serve as the foundation for hiring, evaluating, promoting and developing talent. Redesign and contribute to the delivery of our new hire orientation. Leverage LMS as a vehicle to provide targeted learning paths based on identified needs. Track and drive measures of success/impact such as: business results, retention, engagement, ROI, enhanced internal talent pipeline, and new behaviors clearly demonstrated. Conduct job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Ethical Conduct, Compliance Agreement, Sexual Harassment Policy or any of its policies and procedures, applicable federal and states laws, and applicable professional standards. Maintain regular and timely attendance, reports to work as scheduled and assures time worked and/or time-off is recorded properly. Maintain established department policies, procedures and attends in-services and other required meetings. Maintain confidentiality of all student, associate, and/or company information as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Education: Bachelor degree in Human Resources, or other related field required; masters preferred. Licences/Certifications: DISC, Myers Briggs or other related certifications a plus Knowledge/Experience: Minimum of ten years’ experience in learning and development, to include at least 3 years in a leadership capacity. Extensive experience in the design, management and facilitation of leadership development programs. Ability to establish strong presence with executives at all levels. Experience managing and/or designing onboarding programs. Demonstrated experience in designing and facilitating effective training and development programs. Ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt quickly to shifting priorities, and work effectively under pressure with multiple deliverables. Knowledge and extensive past use of Learning Management Systems. Excellent project management, writing and verbal communication skills are required. Superior presentation and group facilitation skills. Proficient command of grammar, punctuation, spelling, and correct usage of the English language. Ability to exercise good judgement. Strong desire to own the L&D function by taking initiative to understand the needs of our people, evaluate those needs and propose L&D solutions to meet those needs. Execute on those solutions.
