The Sr. DevOps Engineer is responsible for the writing and
maintaining of internal developed solutions and applications that
reside both On-Prem and within the public cloud. They will leverage
everything from full stack development to low/no code solutions
such as the Power Platform (Power Apps / Power Automate). They will
also oversee the administration and development of the ServiceNow
platform, ultimately being responsible for its configuration and
customization. Leveraging ServiceNow's ITSM platform and custom
written solutions, this role will be responsible for increasing the
level of automation within the Information Service Department. This
role will play a critical part in the execution of CHOC's cloud
Required: Minimum five years of related professional experience in
MS/Linux mixed environment(s); five years in a Software
Engineer/System Admin role; two years of cloud-related experience;
two years using or administrating ServiceNow.
Preferred: Information Systems experience within the healthcare
Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field,
or additional equivalent work experience in a healthcare
environment accepted in lieu of education.
Required: Ability to implement custom integrations/applications in
a healthcare setting using development languages such as C#,
priority projects while shifting work efforts with the changing
demands of the organization. Able to communicate effectively both
verbally and in writing via email or written reports & assessments
for end users & peers at various levels of technical understanding.
Familiarity and experience with ITIL methodologies and processes.
Highly motivated to acquire, learn and implement new technologies
while assessing their relevance to current organizational needs.
Posseses strong understanding of cloud native technologies and
constructs including Lambda, NoSQL, API Gateway, CDN, S3, RDS, etc.
Strong familiarity with Agile and SCRUM development methodologies.
Existing experience with managing local code repositories using
version control e.g. GIT.
Preferred: Familiarity with IT Service Management within a
Preferred: ITIL v3/4 Certification; Any Associate level AWS
Certification; Any ServiceNow Admin/Developer certifications.
