We're one global team - 47,000 strong - driven by a common purpose to deliver a better world.Job Summary/ResponsibilitiesThe Energy Planner's role is to apply their expertise in building and infrastructure systems and energy analysis to the development of energy master plans and decarbonization plans for cities, agencies, campuses, and governments in the US and across the world. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about decarbonizing the built environment and wants to broaden their influence in enabling this transition. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Leading the development of community- and portfolio-level energy strategies, looking at, but not limited to: energy and water conservation, onsite generation and storage, district energy, microgrids, infrastructure resilience, and monitoring and control systems.Technical assessment of building/campus energy demand and potential supply strategies using a combination of modeling, proprietary analysis tools, and the development of customized tools.Contribution to proposals and the management of small- to medium-sized projectsStakeholder engagement, such as conducting interviews and facilitating charettes and workshopsPreparing and presenting results and professional recommendations, in report or presentation format, to clients and teams.Minimum RequirementsBachelor's degree required in Engineering, Building Sciences or a related field4+ years' experience working in the energy or sustainable design sectorPreferred QualificationsMasters' degree preferred in engineering, planning, or sustainability-related fieldAdditional certifications/licenses e.g. PE, CEM, LEED AP, ENV SPExperience of energy or utilities master planningExperience in the assessment of distributed generation assets (solar PV, battery energy storage, etc.)Experience with energy codes and standardsExcellent written, graphical, and verbal communication skillsStrong problem-solving, analytical and research skillsWillingness to travel up to 20% of the timeAbility to balance various project and company responsibilities and deadlines, while maintaining professionalism and qualityAdaptable and flexible, showing a willingness and ability to take on new projects or areas with or without supervision, as requiredKnowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite, and in particular, Excel for data analytics.Additional InformationRelocation compensation may be available for this positionRemote working may be an option for this positionOffered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
