Job Summary: Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Universal Banker Floater is responsible for supporting multiple Universal Banking branches in selling products and services for consumer and small business customers. Responsible for daily Branch operations, including but not limited to customer facing transactions and maintenance, cash handling and identifying sales opportunities. Develop and deepen long-standing banking relationships through a holistic needs assessment resulting in the sale of consumer and business loans, deposit and investment products and other banking services to meet assigned goals. The position requires a team orientation as well as independence and flexibility as the incumbent must travel to assist specific Universal Banking branches as requested. Inherent in this flexibility the role may require filling for any job type within a Universal Banking Branch: Branch Manager, Assistant Branch Manager or Universal Banker. Major Responsibilities: 50% - Sales and Service Build strong, lasting, financial relationships with customers and partners Build on a holistic understanding of customer needs to build brand trust and become their primary savings institution Strategize and implement a course of action to acquire, retain, and deepen multiple Branch's customer base Develop new business by researching and analyzing community markets, analyzing and prioritizing clients Proactively assess customer's financial needs, utilizing Branch systems and tools to properly document information Use expert-level product knowledge and a keen reading of customers' needs assessments to sell customers products and services that best meet their needs Plan and execute business development strategies, calling on existing and potential clients, whether in person, over the phone, or via email Ensure loan applications are complete and submit to loan center for processing Ensure customers have complete and accurate understandings of product features, including service charges, interest rates, etc. Maintain established customer service level expectations in accordance with the Bank's overall goals and objectives Provide solutions for complex or difficult customer issues Work independently of supervision in the attainment of Branch assigned goals and responsibilities Deepen relationships and inspire staff within multiple branches that are part of the established support territory Collaborate and strengthen partnerships using soft skills to influence supported branch staff and business partners 40% - Operations Perform teller transactions and maintain cash drawer within prescribed cash limits and meet cash balancing requirements Effectively resolve problems, exceptions, and account adjustments in a timely, professional and effective manner to foster customer retention Refer or cross-sell opportunities to customers as deemed appropriate based on customer need Function as a back-up in operations as warranted by levels of responsibility Support the Assistant Manager in operational activities as necessary Ensure that the office is operating in a safe and effective manner 10% - Risk Management and Compliance Responsible for following and adhering to all Bank operational and security policies and procedures, including compliance and privacy policies and procedures to maintain customer confidentiality Ensure customer information meets bank and regulatory documentation Adhere to the SAFE Act requirements Qualifications: Additional Information: Education, Licensure, Year of Experience: Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required Series 6 and 63 Licenses preferred, but not required Typically requires 5 years of experience in operations and sales Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Requires a thorough knowledge of all Bank products and services, as well as effective communication and sales abilities A background in operations and/or financial services (to include consumer lending) is preferred Significant sales work experience track record and sound operational and risk management knowledge required Requires working knowledge of complex financial service products and services including Small Business deposits and credits Exercise sound judgment when processing customer transactions and providing approvals Under minimal supervision, must be able to solve complex customer transactions and/or service issues, while providing outstanding customer service. This position may be subject to SAFE Act Registration Requirements. Pursuant to the SAFE Act requirements, all applicants for employment who will be engaged in residential loan mortgage originations (as defined by the SAFE Act) must register with the federal registry system and maintain a status in good standing under the SAFE Act requirements.
