Job Description:

As a Portfolio Executive, you are responsible for growing and retaining an existing portfolio, by ensuring commitments are achieved for existing customer accounts. You are a C.H. Robinson brand ambassador, accountable to the customer experience across the life cycle of an order (freight/load/shipment). You will generate demand and sell services (primarily truckload & LTL), to drive growth through relationship building, problem solving and providing an exceptional customer experience. It will be critical to understand the customer's daily business challenges and supply chain goals, and use that information to develop tailored consultative solutions that deliver value and support the customer's business. You will drive automation by promoting opportunities where C.H. Robinson technology solutions can add value and improve efficiencies within the customer's supply chain.ResponsibilitiesEstablishes contacts and builds relationships at multiple levels, in multiple departments within accountsGenerates new business by actively pursuing active accounts by identifying new contacts, product, and service opportunities within portfolioIdentifies opportunity for growth within the accounts to convert transactional accounts to committed accountsStays informed of changes within the customers' business, industry and sector and applies that knowledge to identify opportunitiesUnderstands market conditions and competitive landscape in order to provide efficient and effective modes of transportation solutions for the customerExecutes upon customer facing operational activities including quoting, load building, shipment activation, and order level service escalationsMaximizes customer experience by taking a pro-active approach to quality control leveraging internal stand-up meetings and customized external KPI alignment.Collaborates and actively communicates with partners on the capacity/product/supply team regarding customer needs, issues and solutions in order to meet customer expectationsLeverages customer facing technology to ensure the right technology is matched to customer needsOrganizes and prioritizes opportunities utilizing sales management toolsUnderstands negotiated payment terms and processes and ensures timely invoicing through monthly reviewsRequired:High School Diploma or GEDAbility to travel up to 10% (domesticallyPreferred:Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or universityMinimum of 1 year of previous sales experienceTechnical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programsDemonstrated negotiation and sales strategies experienceDecision making and multi-tasking skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsValues a diverse and inclusive work environmentEqual Opportunity and Affirmative Action EmployerC.H.
