AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Project Architect for immediate employment in the Orange, CA office. The Project Architect will lead design teams of internal and external technical staff. Immediate focus will be on projects in the DoD and Federal Sectors. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects that offer professional growth opportunities. * Performs various management, leadership, and people accountability responsibilities for a specific technical group or department. * Has full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating technical assignments. * Generally requires multi-disciplinary knowledge of architecture. * Plans and develops engineering tasks concerned with unique or controversial problems. This involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope and selection of problems for investigation and development of novel concepts and approaches. * Maintains liaison with units within the organization and individuals inside and outside of the organization. * Responsible for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to the field. * Work at this level usually requires extensive progressive experience. * Works under minimal supervision. Supervision received is essentially administrative with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits. * Manages group of architects and/or designers, coordinating activities of the unit. * Degree in architecture required. * Licensure in architecture required. * Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required Minimum Requirements * Bachelor of Architecture or Bachelor of Science * Eight years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education Preferred Qualifications * Experience in Revit * Experience in the following markets: * Federal Civilian & Local Government * Federal DoD What We Offer When you join AECOM, you become part of a company that is pioneering the future .
